As we journey through the scenic green rolling hills of Eastern Antioquia, we’ll make brief panoramic stops to appreciate the charming town of Marinilla and the historic Pueblo del Peñol—a replica of the original town that now rests at the bottom of the reservoir.

We arrive at the day’s most famous landmark: the magnificent Piedra del Peñol. This is the ultimate El Peñol tour from Medellín. We’ll stop right at the base, giving you ample time to take on the 700+ step challenge to the summit.

The climb is optional but highly recommended; the 360-degree viewpoint of the bright blue reservoir winding around thousands of green islands is one of the most breathtaking sights in South America. (Please note: The entrance fee to climb the rock is 35,000 COP, is not included, and is paid directly in cash at the gate).

After conquering the rock, you'll have definitely worked up an appetite. We will sit down at a local restaurant for a full, authentic traditional Antioquian lunch (with a refreshing drink included) to recharge our batteries.

Now it's time to experience the landscape from the water. We’ll board a comfortable boat for a relaxing, scenic cruise along the reservoir. You’ll take in the stunning lake scenery, learn about the fascinating history of the "sunken town," and glide past some of the famous celebrity mansions located on the waterfront.

We arrive at the urban center of Guatapé, widely known as the most colorful town in Colombia. Our expert guide will lead you on a walking tour through its most magical spots, answering the classic question, "What to do in Guatapé?". We'll explore:
